Shahada

The earth where we are living now is not a new born planet, it is the planet of 4.5 billion year old. At the age of not young any more, planet earth had experiencing several huge catastrophic disasters which almost annihilated whole living things. There was happened at ancient time a planet collided earth which then created the moon, there was a giant meteor hit the earth which created a huge impact and perishing dinosaurs, or long ice age which periodically come through since 2.6 million years ago.

Unaware of the fact that today actually we have already lived just at the edge of life time. Soon our environment that we are living now, earth that we are loving will be perished. This event had been already well predicted on all holy scriptures and have been already accepted as part of one’s faith that doomsday will come some time in the near future.

At such edge of the time, Allah swt hails to the belivers to subserve and worship Him.

Based on recent guidance and willingness of Allah the Great, we are instructed to pledge in our heart Shahada as many as possible. Apparently that is what being instructed by Allah to human who lives at the edge of life time.

The Shahada is a sentence which consisting of pledge and ultimate statement of a creature to his Creator. So it means that Shahada is actually a statement of some one’s faith to his Creator. The following points are the essences of Shahada statement:

اَشْهَدُاَنْالَااِلَهَ اِلَّااللهُ
The essences of this statement:
1. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah
2. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah where your servant settling worship and what your servant directing worship
3. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah who Created the world and also the life after with everything in it upon His determination and His will
4. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah with everything in it that is visible and unvisible
5. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah the God of angels
6. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah the God of every prophets and every messengers
7. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah the God of allies and martyrs
8. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah whom your servant depend upon every issue and problem in this world and the life after
9. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah whom your servant asking for support upon every issue and problem in this world and the life after
10. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah whom your servant asking for help upon every issue and problem in this world and the life after
11. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah whom your servant asking for protection upon every issue and problem in this world and the life after
12. Your servant bears withness that there is no god except Allah who owns every Attributes

Afterward, hold your breath, and then whisper it in your heart the following surah al-Hasyr of Quran verse 22-24:

هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ ۖ هُوَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ الرَّحِيمُ
هُوَ اللَّهُ الَّذِي لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْمَلِكُ الْقُدُّوسُ السَّلَامُ الْمُؤْمِنُ الْمُهَيْمِنُ الْعَزِيزُ الْجَبَّارُ الْمُتَكَبِّرُ ۚ
سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
هُوَ اللَّهُ الْخَالِقُ الْبَارِئُ الْمُصَوِّرُ ۖ لَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ
وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِي

Then the next statement of Shahada:

وَاَثْهَدُاَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسٌؤلُ اللهِ
The essences of this statement:
1. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad has name of Ahmad
2. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad is the prophet of Allah
3. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad is the apostle of Allah
4. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah
5. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad is the one who is told by Allah
6. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad is the beloved of Allah
7. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad is the grace for universe
8. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad is perfecting the human morals
9. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad is perfecting the scriptures
10. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad is perfecting Allah’s religion
11. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad is the Holy Quran
12. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad who owns and giving Syafaah
13. Your servant bears witness that Muhammad the earliest and the last

So those are the statement and pledge of Shahada. The utmost statement and the Tauhid statement which invite human to believe in God.

That Shahada statement is different with just a thoyibah sentence like Laa ilaha illallah. The devil and iblees are able to say Laa ilaha illallah, but in contrary they can not say the Shahada. Hence it is now very obvious the differences between Shahada and thoyibah sentence.

Some one who has no hesitate to say such Shahada statement, and keep repeatedly say that statement in his heart for many times, then he can not be touched by devil or iblees. (AK/ST)
