The Story of The Two Sects

Our guru often says, that in ancient times the Christians and the Jews have deified Ministers and their monks. This is because the Christians and the Jews were holding on opinion and interpretation of their priests and monks. Instead of sticking to a strong tie of God's guidances.

As a result, they are out of the true way and get lost in the interpretation and understanding of their priests and monks. Looking at this fact, then the Almighty God convicting them and their priests and monks as infidels. I.e. people who wrap themselves of God's guidances and covering them with their interpretation and understanding of the holy book. They've deify their priests and their monks.

"They have taken their scholars and monks as lords besides Allah, and [also] the Messiah, the son of Mary. And they were not commanded except to worship one God; there is no deity except Him. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him." (QS 9:31)

Our guru then warned us that the same thing as the fate of Christians and Jews can also occur on Muslims. You may examine the view and attitude of some ulama and also the condition of Muslims today. They all claim that Islam is a religion based on the propositions.

But the proposition itself is based on the interpretation and understanding of some ulama upon the words of God or the words of Prophet. Do you think that their propositions and their interpretation of the verse of Quran or Hadith were guaranteedly right? The answer is not. There is no guarantee from God that their interpretation was absolutely correct.

The following illustrations may will make it clearer of how actually the contradiction between the two sects are about, namely sect based on the direction and guidance of God and the sects based on the interpretation of propositions.

Illustration of this case will be like follow. Suppose in a certain area there are two wanderer people came to the area. Then one of them saw in that area that there is a brat child. Then without any reason and sense of mercy, one of the wandere then killed the brat child. Well, based on this fact then ulamas in the region gathered and then decided a verdict of guilty to the wanderer. Propositions and principles taken by ulamas is based on their understanding of the verses of Quran and Hadith.

Then shall we continue our illustration with the following case example. Suppose in that region there is a family which consisting of a father, a wife and a child. Then, without something reaonable and obvious, all of a sudden the father expressed his intention to kill his own son. According to him, the reason is because he had a dream, and in his dreams he is ordered to kill his son. Due to this event, then ulamas in this region once again summoned, and asked for his opinion. By ulamas then they decided that the father sentenced to guilt, because based on their propositions of Quran and Hadith which they understood, a person can not kill his son only on the orders of the dream.

My brothers and sisters, of course the vast majority of Muslims today would also justify the decision of the ulamas in that region. Isn't it so? This is what we call it as the first sect, the sect that is embraced by the majority of Muslims today, namely the sect that based on the interpretation of proposition and understanding of the Quran and Hadith.

As for the second sect, they are not so. The second sect is a sect which based on the Guidances of God. Looking at the two cases above, they are who is classified in the second sect, they will retreat theirselves closer to God Almighty while pleading for His guidance and instructions to avoid mistakes and confusion. Then Allah almighty will surely give Instructions to the people who are fond of dhikr to recall and get closer to Him.

Allah swt will give guidance to them, that as in the first case, the two wanderers were actually Moses and Khidir. God really ordered Khidir to kill the brat child in order save his parents from getting disaster because of their child, and may God will replace him with a better one. And then as for the second case, Allah informed that the father was actually Ibrahim who was indeed God commanded him to slaughter his son Ismail through dreams.

That's the illustration cases to show up the main differences between two major sects. So, then with God's Informations, then ulama and muslim from the second sect will justify the things that have been done by the wanderer and also the father. For therefore, all is order and will of Allah swt.

Those people from the second sect is referred to as Muslims with Tauhid, because they who love God and always remember Him through dhikr and always asking for guidances and help from God Almighty. While as for the first sect, are categorized as muslim people who has not yet in Tauhid condition, because they are refering themselves based on the understanding and interpretations of Quran and Hadith.

They who is from the first sect thought that because the Prophet Muhammad was dead, so he can no longer give instructions and help. And they who is from the first sect also contended that Quran and Hadith is already complete and perfect, so it is not necessary for further instructions and guidance of Almighty God. God may sleep this time, because His function is already accomplished. Here is what lies as their mistakes.

Thus, the illustration of two cases are intended to clarify the meaning of to become Tauhid, as well as to avoid Muslims today to have a same fate as earlier peoples, Jews and Christians. Let us now avoid Muslims today to deify ulamas, as Jews and Christians before also deified their priests and monks.

Always Dhikr to recall God, invoking His guidance and instructions, those are the straight path. This kind of thing is also contained within the true meaning of Syahadah which is often stated by Muslims, but most of us do not understand its true meaning.

You may reopen our main article about the true meaning of Syahadah in this website. So thus, we all will always be on the right path, that might not be misled anymore by our enemy, Satan, and all we will be under the instructions of Allah swt. Hopefully we all will survive to succeedly passing the test of this life in the world. Achieving congratulations for reaching our goal, being survivors (Muslims). (AK/ST)
