People who are Blessed by Allah

Every time a catastrophic event happened in this world, then this event will be for sure is part of punishment from Allah to a community so they will learn and consider that such catastrophic was an alert for them to become believers. So, catastrophe and disaster are not test from Allah, this is aligned with the histories which were told by Quran that many ancients tribes had been fallen onto great catastrophic disaster as a punishment from God Almighty, not merely a test from Allah.

One day you may find a community is experiencing a natural catastrophic event or experiencing any other kind of disasters. This for sure is part of punishment of Allah, an alert for the community to become believers. So, in order to stop the punishment, things which is mostly appropriate to do by the community is doing istighfar to ask forgiveness to Allah swt.

One day you may find such an unfortune family with worst condition. Condition with such poverty and very bad starving. Those things happened can be a part of punishment from Allah to the family. So, in order to stop the punishment from such unfortunate conditions, things which is mostly appropriate to do by the family is doing istighfar to ask forgiveness to Allah swt.

During a session of teaching, our guru taught his disciples that people wo loved to do istighfar to ask forgiveness to Allah swt are the people who God loved mostly. When the other people are busy to pray to ask Allah to fulfill their wishes, there are a small group of people who ask for nothing, unless asking for forgiveness.

When Allah loves a group of people, then Allah will devote his mercy to those people without being asked. This was ever been stated by prophet Shaleh to the faithless people of Tsamud before.

“And to Thamud [We sent] their brother Salih. He said, "O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. He has produced you from the earth and settled you in it, so ask forgiveness of Him and then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is near and responsive.” (QS 11:61)

Every punishments and disasters are not the cause of every suffering of the people, but they are the outcome of insubordination of those people. Then, because punishments and disasters are the outcome, so the most appropriate thing to do by those people is doing istighfar to ask for forgiveness of the mistakes that have been done which caused the punishment and disaster.

Doing istighfar to ask for forgiveness to Allah swt due to their insubordination is something which is more important and more essential than praying to Allah to eliminate the disaster.

Every human being in this life can not free themselves from every kind of mistakes and sins, even the moslem people or even the believer they all have done some mistakes. Also even the Walee, the prophet and the messangers of Allah, they all must have done some mistakes and sins. Then it should be very important for all of us to do istighfar to ask for forgiveness to Allah swt, as they all do the similar thing, doing istighfar to ask for forgiveness.

Our guru also taught his disciples not to be selfish, only taking care his own interrests. Our guru taught us to take care the other’s interrest, by praying seriously for other people. Waking up in the middle of the night to do istighfar to ask for forgiveness to Allah swt for himself and also for the whole mu’min people, men and women. This is truly part of the instruction from Allah swt to let us pray for the whole mu’min people.

“So know, [O Muhammad], that there is no deity except Allah and ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women. And Allah knows of your movement and your resting place.” (QS 47:19)

Allah loves those kind of people who love to pray not only for themselves but also for the whole of mu’min people. Allah will devote his mercy to the places where those people are working and also to the environments where those people are living.

So that is, there is a small group of people who love to do istighfar, they are really strange people. Amongst many of the people now that they are busy with praying for themselves only asking Allah to fulfill their own needs and whishes, still there are a small group of people who never ask for anything, but ask for forgiveness.

This is align with what had been happened before, a messenger of Allah and his small group of followers are really a strange people. So as Islam when it is first time introduced, the people of Mecca saw to Rasulullah saw and his small group of followers as a strange people. Then as also today, things back to what had happened before, a small group of people who love to do istighfar to ask for forgiveness for themselves and also for the whole mu’min people, they are really a strange people. Like a stranger amongst hundreds of million people of moslem in this country. (AK/ST)
