Worshiping with Full of Sincerity

One of the worng attitude in worshiping caused by understanding the worshiping based on the proposition only is loosing the spirit of sincerity in worshiping.

Many of the moslem people today who have the understanding, that worshiping is done only for the life in this world. Then in the next afterlife, there will be no obligation to worship any more.

That was why that many of the Holy Book interpreters which were followed by most of the moslem people today, they interprete the word ‘yaqiin’ in this below verse of the Qoran as death.

وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَكَ الْيَقِينُ
“And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death).” (QS 15:99)

Because interpreting that worshiping is only obliged to be done in this life, then next in the afterlife upon entering the heaven, moslem people will only fully enjoy the pleasure and amusement. Even because of such understanding then we found the following hadiths which sound ‘Adultery’ and not appropriate for the children.

“A believer in heaven will be given a strength to make love at certain levels and certain times”, then being asked’ “O Rasulullah, will he able to do that?” Rasulullah replied, “He will be given a strength of 100 persons during making love.” [HR. At-Thirmidzi no 2536 and being declared as hasan by Syaikh Al-Albani]

“Indeed an inhabitant of the heaven he will hug angel for 70 years, he will not getting bored of the angel and also the angel will not getting bored of him, every time he makes love he will find out that the angel is still virgin, and every time he comes back to the angel he will get lust. The he will make love again the angel with the energy like 70 men, no seminal fluid coming out from both of them, he makes love with the angel without seminal fluid coming out, and neither the angel.” [Interpretation by Al-Qurthubi 15/45]

Are those hadiths above truly coming from Rasulullah saw? Wallahu Alam.

However, it is clearly figure out the motivation of most of the moslem people today that next in the heaven they will set themselves free from any kind of worshiping like what they did during the life in this world, and replacing it with the most pleasure and joyful continuously in heaven. Hug the angel for 70 years and make love with her. Free from any obligation for worshiping to Allah swt.

According to the author such kind of understanding and motivation was totally wrong. Worshiping in this life is not a burden, or an obligation which we must do forcedly because we expect for heaven. Such kind of worshiping will not be accepted by Allah swt, because Allah swt will only accept a kind of worshiping which was done full of sincerity. Sincere in doing so during this life on earth, and also sincere to do so in the next afterlife. Full of sincerity to do so anytime.

“So Allah rewarded them for what they said with gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. And that is the reward of doers of good sincere faith.” (QS 5:85)

According to the author’s understanding, the position of a servant of Allah swt will be kept as servant for any time. In this life and also in the next after life. Because being a servant, then the attitude and motivation of a servant of the Creator shall always be reflected.

Worshiping can be in any form, according to its time and its conditon. But the purpose of creation of Jinn and Human are for the purpose of worshiping to Allah swt. Worshiping with full of sincerity, not because of expecting heaven so then we will be in pleasure and joyful and forget at all our God.

So, those are the intention of what our guru said, that he forbid his disciples to do worshiping with the expectation of having heaven. So then it will lead to the wrong motivation and understanding. The worshiping must be done with full of sincerity, not forcedfully nor because just fulfilling the obligatoin and expecting for getting reward of heaven. (AK/ST)
