The Prophet Isa The Messiah
Many people they have opinion that the prophet Isa the Messiah is the same person as Jesus Christ, in fact they are not. The prophet Isa the Messiah and Jesus Christ are 2 different persons.
The explanation is as what had been already taught by our guru in one of the night recitation session, that Jesus Christ who was mentioned by Christian people was referring to the one who descended to the world to atone for human sin and then being crucified by the Rome’s soldier, and then believed by the Christian people as the human savior.
On the other hand, the prophet Isa the Messiah is a prophet from the children of Israel who was born by a woman named Marry, without having a father. The name of Isa itself was given by Allah swt through His angel.
“[And mention] when the angels said, "O Mary, indeed Allah gives you good tidings of a word from Him, whose name will be the Messiah, Isa, the son of Mary - distinguished in this world and the Hereafter and among those brought near [to Allah ].” (QS 3:45)
The prophet Isa the Messiah is a holy person and obedient to Allah swt who was born in this world without the lowly fluid, but he was born in order to show the Almighty of God. So, then it should be impossible that Allah swt then will let His prophet being killed and crucified by the Rome’s soldier.
“And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Isa, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah ." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.” (QS 4:157)
Due to the fact that the prophet Isa the Messiah was not the person who was crucified, then it can be concluded that they were actually 2 different persons. The prophet Isa the Messiah is not Jesus Christ who is believed by the Christian people today.
So, that was the view of our guru upon the prophet Isa the Messiah and the one who resemble him and then was called by Christian people as Jesus Christ. (AK/ST)
