The Cloth of Taqwa

At one of the recitation night, our guru was expressing his feelings against a woman wearing hijab but her behavior and attitude was not reflecting a woman who has dignify. Such as a woman wearing hijab, but then she shake and dance which shows her movement like a woman who has not dignify. So then the moslem cloth and hijab that she wore almost do not have any mean to herself.

In the Islamic teaching, the cloth has function to cover the private part of the body and also it has function as adornment. However, the best cloth is the cloth of taqwa.

يَا بَنِي آدَمَ قَدْ أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًا يُوَارِي سَوْآتِكُمْ وَرِيشًا ۖ وَلِبَاسُ التَّقْوَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ
آيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
“O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness - that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.” (QS 7:26)

What is the cloth of taqwa? Taqwa is a kind of total submission of a slave toward Allah swt where a slave depends on all of his concerns and issues in this world and after life. Taqwa is a kind of total submission of a slave toward Allah swt where a slave asks for guidance on all of his concerns and issues in this world and after life. Taqwa is a kind of total submission of a slave toward Allah swt where a slave asks for help on all of his concerns and issues in this world and after life. Taqwa is a kind of total submission of a slave toward Allah swt where a slave asks for protection on all of his concerns and issues in this world and after life.

So, for the ones who have already know and understand the truw meaning of taqwa, they are pleased to wear the cloth of taqwa. That is the best type of the cloth.

Perhaps you had ever heard about the cloth named Antakusuma, that was the cloth which was wore by Sunan Kalijaga. Supposedly accoding to the story told, the cloth are believed as able to bring charisma to whoever wear it. Some others also told, that the cloth can be used as a talisman to protect the one who wear it, against any kind of threat.

However, the one which we must believe is that the best cloth which can protect whoever wear it, which can save whoever wear it, is the cloth of taqwa. There is no other cloth better than cloth of taqwa.

So, for the ones who have already know and understand the truw meaning of taqwa, they are pleased to wear the cloth of taqwa. That is the best type of the cloth. (AK/ST)
