Allah the Healer of the Desease

The desease enters the human body through multiple ways and multiple causes and events. There are deseases which were caused by bad behaviour of the person, bad habits or bad environment where its person lives. There are desease came from germs, from virus or pledge, and even from the damned satan.

As for today, most of the people when they suffer from desease, then they will see the doctor or having medical treatment in the hospital. Most of us today believe that medicine, doctor and hospital can cure the desease.

Does this attitude and understanding are correct? The answer is Wrong. Having such attitude and understanding are identical with doing shirk. Idolizing medicine, doctor and medical treatment in the hospital.

The true is that it is Allah swt who heal and cure any kind of human desease, not the medicine, doctor nor medical treatment in the hospital. Because without medicine, doctor or medical treatment in the hospital, desease can be cured by Allah swt. As for example when Isa as cured the blind man, or someone who has hairpiece desease. Or when Ayub as prayed to Allah swt for his disease on his entire body for 18 years long. Those desease were eventually can be cured by Allah swt.

So, it was correct what had been said by Ibrahim as which then memorized as one of the verse in the Qoran.

وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
“And when I am ill, it is He who cures me” (QS 26:80)

Today, if we get ill then it would be very seldom that we will pray to Allah swt to ask Him curing our desease. Because our thought so far had been damaged by our own thought, thinking that every kind of desease can be cured by medicine from a doctor and then it healed.

In fact, that kind of thought was totally wrong. How many sick people can not be cured by medicine and doctors in the hospital until they died? Because in reality, the one that can cure the desease is not medicine, but Allah swt.

There are many people feels that they believe to Allah swt, but not this case. Just as we get ill, then most of us will automatically go to have medical treatment in the hospital, with the excuse of doing effort and endeavor. Does it the thing which was examplified by the prophet Isa as? Does this thing which was exmplified by th eprophet Ayub as? Does this thing which was examplified by the prophet Abraham as? The answer is No. They all had been submitted and gave up the healing of the deseases to Allah swt. That what was should be and what was truly. Let us prove it by ourselves. (AK/ST)
