USRI and Caliphate

What is the different between the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (USRI) which is based on Pancasila with the caliphate nation which is based upon Islamic Sharia law? The following article is the answer from our guru to his disciples on this subject.

The Isamic Sharia law was composed by ulema based on their understanding and interpretation upon the holy Qoran and Hadith books, and also the books written by previous ulema. In composing the Islamic Sharia law, will there any mistake can be found? Yes, it is possible that there was a mistake in composing the law, depends on who is the ulema that composing the law, how is the level of their knowledge and wisdom.

Because it was based on the result of interpretation and understanding of the ulema, then it is not certain that country which is applying the Islamic Sharia law will be free from mistake. And also the variety and styles of the countries which are applying the Islamic Sharia law are quite different. It depends on who and how was the ulema in those particular countries interprete and understand the holy Qoran and Hadith books. Countries like Brunei, Pakistan, Afganistan, up to Saudi Arabia and Iran, they have different variant and style.

Are those countries which applying the Islamic Sharia law are developed countries? The answer is no.

Then our guru compared them with our country, USRI which is based on Pancasila. USRI is a country which is based on God. So, it is not based on the interpretation dan understanding of ulema against the holy book, but it is based on Divinity. It means that it is based on God, not based on Islamic Sharia law.

Because it is based on God, then it would be impossible to have mistake or misinterpretation against the holy Qoran.

How could be a government and a nation get Guidance from God in ruling the state? The answer is by beliefing truly to Allah swt.

وَمَنْ يُؤْمِنْ بِاللَّهِ يَهْدِ قَلْبَهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيم
“…And whoever believes in Allah - He will guide his heart. And Allah is Knowing of all things.” (QS 64:11)

So, those are the messages from our guru to explain about the different between the state which is based on the Islamic Sharia law (based on particular religion) and the state of USRI which is based upon God (based on tawheed). The first one it was based on the understanding of ulema, and the last one was based on the Guidance from God. (AK/ST)
